Matala and now Paros..........

Hey everyone. I hope your all good. Things are all good with us.

We left Matala 7 days ago now. It was a tiny village on the south coast of Crete. Really nice. Not too much to do so it was basically a lot of beach time. The sea there is crystal clear and its the best snorkelling Ive done yet. Saw so many different fish and all different colours. I had to buy a underwater camera to get pics . The bus in Matala went to 3 different places around there so we "did" all them. They were all small villages and were a lot like where we we were staying. Went to another archaeological up the road site called Festos. Most of the time we were just lazy😊 We were going to do a bit of camping after but the toilets were proper dirty and there were so many mozzies flying about we gave it a miss. We went back to the capitol (Heraklion) and stayed in a hostel(not much better than the campsite!)for 3 days waiting for our boat to the island of Paros.

The boat ride took 8 hours and it finally dropped us off at Paros. Its a small island. It only took us 5 hours to ride round the island on a quad. Its a really nice island. We're staying at the capitol called Parikia. Its not been spoilt too much by tourism and hotel building. As i said we hired a quad out and rode everywhere. I went out later on in the day and found some dirt roads to do a bit of offroading. I was bouncing all over the show! Twas good. We got a cheap room in a hotel- its got a TV and air-com and a little cooker and that so were saving loads by making our own brekkies and dinners. We have both gone on a Greek salad diet for a week. I think im turning in2 a rabbit😊. They are really nice tho and perfect for the weather. We've been away exactly a month now and have not seen a drop of rain. Thats 1 thing i didnt think i would miss but i do. Just a days worth would do tho😊 Ive completely forgot about work now. Im definietly not looking forward to the day i have to get up for my first day when i get back😞. I buy "The Sun" newspaper every few days so keeping up with all the news back home-Lets say im glad to be here. Knife crime seems to be out of control

We have decided our next Island is going to be Naxos. Its not too far away (about 2 hours by ferry) and is probably double the size of Paros. Because Im always wearing my sunglasses Ive now got 2 big white rings around my eyes. When i take my sunnys off it looks like im wearing white rimmed glasses without any lenses in. Connie thinks its hillarious but Ive not seen whats so funny yet😱
