Finally on vacation in a very special country where the ancient culture is mixed with the modern one.

Being able by mid May to be in a bading suit and swim in the sea is quite unusual and lovely.

Georgia and I had to wake up quite early to get to Pyreus in order to take one of the early boats to drive to Spetses island. We took a catamaran and because there were no seats left had to buy a first class ticket. So you think that's great..but what you do not know is that it is on the second floor and that since the sea is not oily calm, it is just kind of a nightmare so much it is moving to both sides. Plus we were sitting on the other way round and thought that we would be sea sick the whole trip. We finally managed to change our seats to be sitting on the right side. That was so much better. Hopa, the worst had faded away:-)

We had several stops on Poros island, then Hydra and finally Spetses the most beautiful island.

This was our hotel ==> http://www.orloffresort.com/

We were treated the whole long week end as princesses. A car was waiting for us to drive us to the hotel. We discovered a very classy high standard little hotel and our room was lovely with a private balcony with a view on the island.
We had every morning an amazing breakfast with fantastic fruits and a charmant view on the pool and the olive trees.
The entrance of this resort was a gorgeous appealing sense of all plant smells created by a jasmine plant. That was exquisite and I felt like the time had stopped, I would stopped the movement of my body to inhale this gorgeous smell..

We then went to the beach walking on the road through amazing nice houses, with lots of bougainvilliers with all possible colors and so many lemon trees. My mom would love the bougainvilliers and finally would say " mais ils ne sont pas fades comme en Croatie! " LOL

We picked giant lemons which had fallen on the street, so not stolen, just grabbed them on the road: our war treasure ! I bought a nice plant to raise in Zurich when I come back which I named Jasmine Georgia !

Arriving at the beach resort was also lovely, almost no one, we picked our favorite place on sun beds, and the weatress would come to order our drinks from our sun beds: ahhh laziness is so good ! Our days were colored by caffe frappe, some meditation, yoga on the beach and some swim.
The end of the afternoon was punctuated by another drink on the lounge bar coach with the sunset vision and the bar manager kind of flirting with us.

We found in Spetses old harbour an amazing restaurant where we ate a superb grilled fish with radish leaves with olive oil of course !

We were treated again like princesses. We really enjojyed what life had offered us. We walked through the tiny streets in the village under the stars, the warmth of the evening.
Really that is real life as I like it.

Life offers me gifts: I seize them with full hands
