The long journey to Neuschwanstein Castle was interesting as I was forced to listen to Eurovision CD's that everyone really enjoyed singing to and I saw a cow with a bell. The castle was built for King Ludwig II, who was a very strange man with a swan fetish. Unfortunately we missed the early tours through the castle so made do with the view from a nearby bridge and a stroll though the courtyard. That was pretty worth while as I got some great photos and it means I'll have to make a trip back some day to see the interior. We also got to see the castle that was built for his parents from a distance with the huge swan atop it, weird guy Ludwig...
