Our first stop in Germany was Munich to spend one crazy night at Oktoberfest. We arrived at 4pm and after finding seats in a beer garden, we set to work on the 1L steins of Lager. I caught up with Ben again and after hours of drinking and yelling, a few of the girls got sick and we called it a night when the beer halls closed at midnight. There were some pushy drunk Germans and a couple of fights around the place, but that is to be expected at a drinking festival. Oktoberfest ticked off the list! Oh and we also saw a little bit of Munich but who cares right!

The next stop was the riverside town of Heidelberg where we had a free afternoon in the town. Luckily for us there was another festival on there, the ‘Harvest Festival’ or something, with bands and markets everywhere. It was good to sink a few more beers before we had to leave Germany for the Netherlands. We also upgraded to a cabin again and got some good sleep.
