Bed & Breakfast Freiburg

After coffee we left Jola & Hugo to go direction Germany. We had over 500 kilometres to go to reach the University city of Wurzburg. It is on the Main and has a few nice things to offer. WE had a good run and drove mainly freeways. On some of them you can speed up to whatever you want to drive as long as you are on the outside lane. We also a some places had to put the hammer down and came to 160 just to be on time at the place of sleeping. Not to forget you also can sit in a file. Once we only did 2 kilometres in one hour. Anyway we arrived in Wurzburg around 6 p.m. Had to clean up and walked towards the city only 5 minutes away from where we stay. We walked along the river till we came to a famous bridge. It is the only bridge where they sell wine on top of the bridge. People standing everywhere on the bridge with glasses filled with white or red wine talking, having a marvellous time. We had a nice meal and had company of two ladies, students to become teachers in English

and Geography. Had to do examines next week. We had some nice conversations. Very interesting to talk politics with these young students. Next day was sight seeing. Visited a few churches, a nice walk along the river. Looked at souvenir shops. Time to pack up again we were looking at the next place Freiburg. Just an overnight stop, we knew we had a big trip next day to Aosta. We drive no toll roads and that will take time but is far more rewarding qua views. You drive through all those small farming villages. Having a break you get to talk to the locals. We do not always understand each other but with the help of hands and feet we get what we are after. Makes it all so interesting. The bed and breakfast in Freiburg or just outside Freiburg had a tram running in front of our room. An interesting porch not far away from us is that small traffic has to be guided by lights otherwise you be meeting in the middle. Very surprised we could see there the soccer, that was nice. Tomorrow a big trip to Aosta in Italy. We be driving through the Alps, no
