The problem with family visits is that everywhere there is cake and other food to eat and no way you can say no. That is just not there. That was the same with sleeping. Sonja & Jorg gave their waterbed to us and were sleeping themselves on an airbed. We told them that was not on, so we slept on the airbad. That was just as bad for whoever was first in bed when the other arrived you were lifted half a metre up in the air. Nevertheless we did sleep very well. The next day it was visits to family in Kirkel. You will not get away without seeing them. Same story of food and cake. We think we have increased our weight by 5 kilos since we hit Germany. The people here cannot do enough for you. Old stories from years ago come up. Can you remember this or can you remember that this happened. It is nice to see them all back. We spent the day there but later were back to our airbed. A visit to Duisburg was next. The Tom Tom was made ready to take us there. It will be very hard to go without it. The roads have increased as well as the traffic. It is amazing the amount of trucks and cars that are on these roads. Minor roads are very hard to get to and take lots of time to drive, it is better to keep to the autobahns. Again tears when we said Good Bye to the family in Neunkirchen. You don´t know if you ever see them again. Soon we were back in the hustle and bustle of the autobahn traffic. We needed three hours to get to our friends in Duisburg. They were getting impatient, we even had a phone call in the car asking where we were. Again such a nice reception and the coffee and cake were standing ready on the table. They have a very nice flat but not enough room for guests. A hotel room was booked for us. That is how those people are. Everything is decided for you. This is what we do. You both shower and we pick you later up than we eat in Reuter´s Restaurant with two other friends Annelies and Paul. Tomorrow we do this and than we do that. The whole weekend is set up, very nice.
