Onward to St. Goar

Gutentag!

We're here in St. Goar in the beautiful Rhine Valley dotted with many castles on the hillside. The area was really nice but our included dinner was.. less than average. What can you really say about mystery meat anyways? Maciek was sure it was pork, I thought it was beef. But the wine tasting after dinner was pretty cool. We went down to the cellar of some guy's house to taste some of his prized reisling white wine. We started out with dry, then semi-sweet, sweet, super-sweet and then the ooooohhh so tasty ice wine.

We meandered our way after the wine tasting to a nearby castle - now a hotel, perched atop a hill behind our hotel before returning for a good night's sleep. We had an early tour of a stein store, a teddy bear store and a clock store - all of which are renown in the region.

Next stop - Munich. To the beer halls we go!
