After landing at Tegel and breezing through the efficient German immigration, we went home to Koertingstrasse 42 to meet Nutty, the quietest dog on the block 😊

After a sumptuous breakfast of Pongal, we attacked the Pergamon museum with the grand Pergamon altar and Nebuchadrezzar's Ishtar gate. After a quick lunch there, we went to the Altes museum to meet Ms. Nefertiti, "the beautiful Berlin woman". Her 3000 year old bust is still popular and attracted a number of stares from passersby. Pictures to follow..

By this time, were overcome with jetlag and took a short nap at the Lustgarten across from the Altes museum.

The public transport system epitomizes German efficiency at its best. Trains and buses come every 5 minutes exactly on time.

Welcome to travelblogging :)
Hey Karthik, Resmi, Let me be the first to comment :) Great to see the list of places you went to .. so that was indeed Hitler's bunker I presume, unless two independent tour guides were both touting an urban legend :) Say hello to mami/mami from us and do keep posting. Putting up photos is a bigger pain, but worth the trouble since we vicarious travelers can see where all you've been :) Anand

I loved the Checkpoint Charlie museum. Is the "Holocaust memorial" new?

That's a big "first" impression
Wow! You seem to have covered a lot of terrain. I'd also recommend the Museum of Technology (Technikmuseum?) and the view from atop the TV Tower.

Viva Chocolate - slurp!
Hey you guys...how was the chocolate factory? That's one crucial place we haven't been to in Berlin :) Doesn't the city just ooze history? Have a great time.
