Berlin

First, I must say that Berlin is a beautiful city. I was expecting it to be nice, but was still surprised with everything. We took a train from Frankfurt to get there, which was about 5-6 hours. We saw a lot of the city while we were there, including tourist attractions, monuments, and of course restaurants. Sandra pre-booked two nights in a hotel that was a short subway ride from the attractions.

One of my favorite experiences is that I was able to see the historical "Wall". In the city, there are remains of the wall still standing. I took a few pictures of this, as well as some government buildings, and germany's symbol. But yes, the wall was interesting. We also went to a loaction in the city called "Checkpoint Charlie", the entrance point to the part of the city that the United Stated occupied. There are pictures of this as well. There was a long red wall that discussed the history of Germany, and a lot of events involving World Wars 1 and 2, as well as a lot of information about the wall, and the involvement of the USA. We stayed there for a quite

a while, and read a lot of the wall. They had it written in English and in German, so that was nice.

We went to a few nice restaurants while we were there. One in particular was a very nice outdoor restaurant that we went to a couple times while we were there. While we were eating, there were nearby performances taking place. A few people were busking, playing guitar and singing. Also, we saw a street performance that was pretty cool.

Berlin was awesome, and I am anxious to go back.
