On Monday we landed in Berlin after a few days in Budapest. What a great city so far. It feels like New York city, but very modern with new buildings all over and the feel of punk rock. It is really cool.

Most people speak English and there is already a huge variety with the food selections. We were out till midnight last night walking by the remains of the Berlin wall. Plus it does not get dark here in Europe in the summer till after 10pm so you tend to stay up later. I will post those pics later too when I can find an internet cafe with power inlets.

I can not say enough that Berlin is so cool. It is really modern with a hard time figuring out what was eastern (communist) berlin and what was western (free) berlin. The country has tried to remove as much of the remains as possible from the communist era. The remaining parts of the berlin wall are sections. We ran across a building last night that was white marble on the outside and then had white lights swirling on the outer part coming out from inside. It is kinda

hard to explain, but hopefully the pictures can show you.

We ran across a Michael Jackson tribute last night. They must have really loved him here. When we are in shops and one of his songs come on the radio, it is like people stop and just listen. Weird! We also discovered that this cool hotel that we ran across in Berlin is the one that he dangled one of his children out of years ago. never have we seen so much talk about an entertainer in the US.

Oh, and the train systems. Amazing. Not quite like Munich, but we ran across a 5 story train station with a huge shopping mall in it last night. and of course, very modern arcitecture.

Sorry for the shortness of this post, trying to cram everything into my 15 minutes on an internet cafe.
