I went to my first German classes today and they were great. I like that most of the students are close to my age so I don’t feel so isolated. My class only has 5 students. It’s a higher level German class so fewer people get into it. I had two classes in the morning, then an hour and a half lunch break, then a speaking course for an hour and a half. The classes are all in German and we can only speak German. I’m so glad that I know a lot of German already. I think it’d be really hard to understand classes all in German if I didn’t know any. When I don’t know something, the teacher can try to explain it to me with different verbs or words that mean the same thing. So I can always figure them out. We have a tiny bit of homework, which isn’t bad at all. The only problem I saw was that since last semester in High School I only had one class, my attention span isn’t too long. The first two classes were fine, but by the third class I was having trouble concentrating. It’s
also after a long summer break from German and class altogether so I think I’ll get back into it.
After class I signed up at a gym nearby and it’s awesome! It has all the equipment I need so I’m very happy. I worked out today too, which made me feel much better. The gym is only a few minutes away from the school so it’s really convenient. After working out I went to Oktoberfest AGAIN, to meet some of my friends from EF. We had an awesome time playing different drinking card games. We all agreed to meet up again Friday and go again. We’re each going to bring a drinking song from our own country and teach them to each other. The card games were a lot of fun. One of them had to do with counting out loud so we had everyone do it in their own language. We had French, Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, and Dutch. Then I did American English, Russian, and Chinese. I luckily did really well at the games for some reason so I didn’t have to drink too much, which was fine by me. Tomorrow my first class isn’t until noon
so I can sleep in ☺

I’ve been really busy this week with classes. But now it’s finally the weekend and I can relax a little bit. The first week was fun. The classes are pretty interesting and I’ve been hanging out with some of the other students a lot. We’ve gone to Oktoberfest a few more times and a couple other places. Mia got here on Friday and I introduced her to my friends from school. Yesterday we went to the Deutsches Museum, I think it’s the biggest museum in Munich. It had lots of exhibits about ships, engines, cars, planes, and new technology. Today we’re going to see the Frauenkirche in the Altstadt and probably go up to get a view of all of Munich.

I live in Munich. Your blogs are prompting me to become a tourist in my own town. :)
