Heidelberg

Next stop is in the Rhine Valley and the small town of Heidelberg. Heidelberg is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The Rhein-Neckar-Kreis rural district surrounds the city. Heidelberg lies on the river Neckar at the point where it leaves its narrow, steep valley in the Odenwald to flow into the Rhine valley where it joins the river Rhine at Mannheim. Heidelberg is part of a densely populated region known as the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region. It also has a Thorntons Chocolate style shop but for gummie bears!!! Yum….I like gunnie bears. There is also a monkey at the front of the bridge into the town. There ya go…a couple of random facts for you.

Anyways, we stay at the Sudpfanne hostel which is nice and comfortable in a big old house, take lunch in a neaby barwhere I scoff down some rather nice Schnitzel, drink some beer, pop to an Irish Bar and later in the evening, pissed, Liam & I discuss the merits of the girls in the ajoining room whilst singing songs about beer. Apparently I’m quite the connoisseur on tits!! Haha The following day we do a bit more site seeing as I purchase some gloves and a hat as its frickin’ cold! Beer songs….castle…..bear….kunst passage…..the day was mostly eating, drink, getting pissed!!

As Heidelberg is just a stop over there ain’t much else I can mention at this point….

Hi Wayne, looks like you're having a fantastic time.............remember, if you look too much you'll go blind!!!! Re. the pics, it's plain to see that you're not wasting too much time on putting meaningful captions - guess it'd eat into your drinking time too much!! Hi Wayne, just read your two blogs, Heidelberg and Prague, so glad that all is going well and also a relief to know that you are okay and enjoying yourself. Don't spend too much money on wine women and song, you need cash and energy for when you get to other places on the map. Have bought a map and logging your journey. Oh, by the way, have just paid off your Barclay Card bill, just in case you forgot it. Louise popped round yesterday and picked up the game disc. Nan Edens should be going into the nursing home this week, and, good news, her cancer has gone into remission and she is walking again. We think that after all the drugs and medicines she has been taking her body has been well preserved. All is well this end, still raining and snowing, roll on the summer.
