In the north, Bretagne and Normandie had us begging for more. The canals and timber-framed buildings of Bretagne provided an 'Asterix-like' biking experience, while our much anticipated return to Normandy and Sylvie's French Family was another highlight. We visited many Commonwealth and American cemeteries sprinkled around Normandy. The Canadian ones were very moving with the personalized messages on each headstone.

After realizing that we couldn't keep up with the Tour riders on our steel steeds, we rented a Renault, and chased the Tour for a couple of days.
