14 September 2018 In the morning we climbed up the 200 odd steps of the Rocher St Michael to visit the chapel and enjoy sweeping views over the town.
The afternoon and evening gave us another hugely enjoyable session at the Festival. One of the venues was the town park, Jardin Henri Vinay, and here we were surprised to find a huge market selling everything with a possible mediaeval connection. It wound around many encampments, demonstrations and competitions. Then it was back into town to climb to the top of the Statue de Notre Dame de France, enjoy the musical displays, eat a mediaeval themed supper which didn’t include potatoes because they hadn’t arrived in Europe then and just catch the end of a wrestling tournament.
