Before leaving Digoin we had a walk along the river to the town centre and then looked at the large aqueduct which carries the Loire Canal over the river
Following the last 200k of this section of the trip, we dropped down into le Puy and had our first view of the famous churches sitting on top of their volcanic plugs. Unfortunately, it was in a thunderstorm.
We were lucky to get the last pitch on the town centre campsite and discovered it was the first day of their annual five day carnival, so we should have an interesting time here.
