We left home late morning, drove to Dover, through the tunnel and to our favourite camperstop at Bergues, inland from Dunkirk.
Eurotunnel requires that our gas tank is isolated. When we turned it on again at the camperstop, the fridge would not reignite on gas and emitted warning sounds and flashing lights. The manual said turning it on and off a few times should cure the problem, but this did not work. So disappointingly we retreated to the nearby campsite where we could get an electric hook-up. During the evening I continued to turn it on and off without any success and just as we were going to bed, I had one last go. Then thought, why not try pressing the warning light and hey presto it worked! A re-read of the manual told you to do this but it was on the very last page. The equipment and systems on the new van are going to be a big learning curve!
