We drove along the remainder of the Route des Vins d’Alsace. Just before Cernay we turned north into the Vosges Mountains to start our journey home. We followed the high level 80k, 1100 m high Route Des Crêtes built in WW1 to supply French troops. Unfortunately, the weather turned wet and misty soon after we started so we didn’t see the promised views.

We spent the night at a pleasant camper stop in the small town of Etival-Clairefontain.
