We spent 8 nights on the Cote d'Azur. 6 nights camping in Cannes and we splurged by spending 2 nights in a 1 star hotel in Nice. We also visited Monaco on two seperate day trips. The first time was to do sightseeing, the seccond to watch the Tennis at the Monte Carlo Country Club. We feel so special just writing that, because the place was way out of our league as ultra-budget travellers. We found the Cote d'Azur to be just as beautiful as we had expected, even though the weather wasn't always on our side!

A Drain.... Or a Bin

We couldn't believe how many locals use drains as rubish bins. In this case a lady stopped in a busy pedestrian street to put her cigarette pack down the drain. She spend about 10 seconds trying to push it down, before giving up.
