My crossbody backpack saved me on the Paris Metro, twice, on the same ride!!! And the RFID blockers are essential. And please watch out for the gypsies in Greece and Spain. They even use their children to distract tourists at dinner. Cell phones are a big target along with wallets and purses. Keep the good stuff at home, use zippered pockets, and always be alert!
