as the world now knows, les bleus is in the finals. again, the capital erupted in celebration at champs elysée and other major towns in france. it is such great news and am real happy for the french!
this victory is a tonic for a country that needs it. exhausted by civil unrest in its cities & suburbs, and politically paralyzed, France is rallying around their team and the unity, pride and nationalism of its people echoes a more glorious time.
i hope the goodwill lasts. allez les bleus!!
