Dalida Square
Montmartre Square is the place that Dalida loved, the place where her statue is visited every day by tourists and locals alike. I woke up in the morning excited to see the Dalida monument in Place Montmartre. It was not planned in our vacation plan but the opportunity was there. It was a rainy day and the granite stairs going up to the monument were quite slippery. Once there, it was silence...a place where a bench would be welcome. As I approached the bust, a group of three old ladies came closer exchanging few excited thoughts and they started to sing one of Dalida's songs. Music to my ears, I was caught in the game and joined them smiling; all of the sudden, there was no age difference between us. Dalida's music brought us closer.
