Very late night, so extremely weary this morning but mananged to get ready for another full day of sight seeing in Paris. Caught the on off bus at the Opera & went to see the Musee Du Louvre, just magnificent piece of architecture inside & out. Got to see the most famous painting of Mona Lisa very beautiful. Spent a couple of hours walking around viewing all the art work & sculptures, this palace is just so big & extremely beautiful. We decided to walk to the Notre Dame along the river a great scenic walk, lots of things to see & art work to buy along the way. The building itself was breathtaking, a majestic building with wonderful detailed masonary work. took lots of photos, but was conscious of the time it was getting late & we had to go shopping. All the sales or SOLDES as they are called here in Paris were on, so we went clothes & shoe shopping, what a country to shop in. Great department stores & little boutiques to buy fabulous clothes & shoes. Came downstairs to see the night porter after we had got ready for another night out in Paris, his name
was Nabil & he arranged everything for us, booked the Italian restaurant called Le Vesuvio on the Champs Elysees & a taxi to get us there. The people here have been very polite, helpful & accomodating in every way possible to make our holiday a worthwhile experience. After dinner we headed back down to a pub which had Salsa music, stayed & watched the most fabulous dancers you have ever seen. They were dancing in a way that I was watching in awe of them just drinking & watching them on the dance floor. Next stop we headed back down to the Ze Bar again where we knew that we could dance & have a good time, got there & had to order a B52.....Becc had brought this for me, well the bar tender came out & lit the jug up & gave me a straw. As soon as the jug was warm enought she poured it into the glass, meanwhile I had to drink as fast as I could through the straw before the flame went out. Well had to get Becc one of these, very tasty drink...stayed here for a few more drinks. Then met a couple of
local frenchmen & their lady friend, they took us to a night club on the Des Champs Elysees. This downstairs club was fantastic, a great DJ with great music, so we danced all night long, until Becc's feet bleed, yesiree they were by the time we had finished. Stayed here & danced for about 5 hours, it was the most amzing night of my life here in Paris, we had the best time together. It felt like I was back in the Tony Clark days at Tarlee, dancing, dancing & dancing until you were exhausted & had to go home. Arrived back at our hotel around 5.00am, very tired but so not wanting to go to sleep at this point, too worked up. Day Two finally finished but what a day.....day Three the Eiffel Tower & Coffee Shop.......
