Well we just got into our hotel room after being up for 24 hrs! Everything with the flights went smooth... mom & I both enjoyed airplane food and wine! We also slept a little too but its so hard to actually get into a deep comfortable sleep on a plane. As we were pulling into Paris, we saw a clear view of the Eiffel Tower... It was so weird and cool to finally see it. Very impressive.

We checked into our hotel but since our room wasn't ready right when we got here, we sat out on the terrace for some breakfast (our 5th meal in the last 6 or so hours it seems.. we have been eating nonstop!) We ate croissants with jelly and sipped on coffee and orange juice. The view is so nice and the weather is perfect... not too hot with a little breeze.

We also met a nice woman from Mass. who has a daughter who is 18 years old. They are over here taking a class together! We chatted for a while. Very nice people.

I was not quite ready to make my debut in Paris due to the fact I have been in the same clothes for about a day....but of course my mom did not want to sit around and relax so we went exploring. We went to go see the Lady & the Unicorn at the Musee de Cluny. Each tapestry represents one of the five senses and there is a sixth tapestry that remains a mystery.... sorta like a "sixth sense." They were beautiful and a little eerie at the same time. We both got a kick out of the lion in the "Touch" tapestry... maybe freaked out is more of the right word. Just.... bizarre. But still incredible... the details were phenomenal.

Well now we are back at the hotel laying around and being lazy. I think we are going to nap for a while, then shower, then maybe head out to go see the Notre Dame Cathedral...

I haven't really gotten a chance to test my French out yet since most people we have encountered can speak English.... We will see what 3 semesters of French at Meredith has done for me...... and I'm guessing ummm prooobabbbly nothing.

Miss you all! -age
