As one can tell, architecture from this part of the park was inspired by the architecture of former French colonial powers in North Africa.

This is part of the inside of the castle, which as you can see is very colorful.

As part of the playarea there is a maze themed around the chesheer cat and other characters in the movie. You will hear the voices of the characters speaking in French of course, but as you can see it's quite decorated with the colorful and enigmatic chesheer cat in mind.

There were two marche de noel's at Disneyland Paris at the time: one inside the park centered around the theme of the beauty and the beast film and the second in the plaza facing the two parks and Downtown Disney. This is Belle's Marche de Noel, or Christmas market, which featured items closer to most marche de noel's in France.

As you can see, it's architecturally and geographically different from the very "urban" and white facade of the one at Magic Kingdom.
