Up and off in good time having had our campsite identity bracelets cut off in reception and our €20 deposit returned. This to prevent us returning for a free swim we presume.
We then drove down to Carantec and parked behind a beach, in an area where we think we could overnight if we wanted.
We climbed the steep hill into the town intent on finding a chemist to sell me some nice soothing lotion for my ‘spots’. Monsieur Le Chemist insisted I see a doctor and kept a good distance from me having spotted the spots. He phoned the local doctor and sent us on our way. Monseiur Le docteur was very friendly and shook our hands but we had to speak French. I showed him the spots and also my Telfast antihistamine to explain that it can’t be an allergic rash as the antihistamine don’t work on it. He seemed happy that is wasn't anything infectious, must therefore be an allergy but decided I should not take my antihistamine tablets but prescribed me some others. He also decided to take my blood pressure which was so high after climbing the hill (which I didn’t bother to mention) that I
should be dead ! We paid his €23 bill, shook hands again in French and returned to the chemist and collected my new pills.
Bought some water and swallowed them on the spot to get them working.
Then we returned to the Tandy but by a very roundabout route and by that I mean round the coastal path, across about 4 bays before we were back on the beach where had set off. It was a lovely walk. The sun came out, the views across the bay were lovely and we came across bush-loads of hydrangeas in lots of different colours.
Back at the Tandy, 2 seconds after getting in, the heavens opened and it bucketed a few cats and dogs at us. No idea where the rain came from as it was sunny when Bob unlocked the door.
After a quick lunch we set off for our next stop but I slept 90% of the way as the new antihistamine, as I suspected they would, had the inevitable effect of knocking me right out. They had no effect on the spots or their itching either. Still doctor's visit did have the beneficial effect of persuading me that I really

Carantec
View across to the little island which is connected to the mainland by a causeway at low tide
should take my blood pressure medication, so I did.
Today’s campsite is at Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo which is on the Emerald coast just before Dinard and St. Malo. Really lovely 4**** site with an equally lovely sea view. Well we did have, until it decided to start to rain again and this time not to stop. No nice coastal walk tonight, just shut in reading and missed my swim as the covers had been put over on the assumption no one would be fool enough to swim in the rain !
Hopefully we can explore tomorrow, weather permitting.
Note that the photos are of Carantec as haven't managed to see anything of Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo yet.
