Strasbourg has lots of interesting things going on. The city is in France, but central in Europe and close to the borders of Germany, and Switzerland. It is the host city to the European Parliament. Many of the street signs and buildings are labelled in different languages because of the city's changing ownership between countries.

Our day in Strasbourg started with a climb of the 332 steps of the Strasbourg Cathedral. It was tiring, but the view atop the heavily buttressed roof, was lovely - and worth it.

We experienced the rest of the city in a new way, via a tour boat. It started in the canal in the centre of town and bought us by many buildings where historical events had happened to shape the city. The canal continued in a circle around the centre of town and we passed through 2 locks on the journey. One interesting part was when we were able to see the European parliament buildings and central telecommunications for Europe.

After exploring the city and eating Gelatto, we retired to our apartment loft for the evening.
