Hi everyone
we are in Raahe in Finland the birthplace of our new sister in law, aunty etc Anu having a great time. the sun does not set here until around 12 oclock at night, in fact at 11 thirty last night it was still shining away! very amazing and it is önly dark for a couple of hours, and not completely dark at that. Trevor and Anu's wedding was fantastic with a great ceremony taken by a really interesting woman priest, who was in her words at one thirty at night "the drunkest virgin on the bus" back to our beach houses where she continued to party until at least 4 oclock in the morning. A really great lady. Anu looked gorgeous and the ceremony was in both english and finnish with translations done all the way through. Then we headed off to the local hall for fabulous finnish food, wine and dancing.
We have been enjoying the finnish passtime of sauna! a great way to spend a couple of hours and a good way to get to know other people. We haven't quite got all of Anu's family sorted yet but those that we have met have been fantastic people only too pleased to help and ensure that we are having a great time. Cant believe that it is only one day to go until mitchell heads home with mum, dad and the clan and we head off to rome. We hear on the grapevine that the winter weather has been terrible over there so hope you are all keeping warm and glad we are missing out on it!
Take care
