Our Bed & Breakfast PodstranaWe came to the end of our visit to Podstrana. We had a nice stay there and were well looked after by Ivecka and Rosa. But all good things come to an end, so this one.We had to load the car and continued the coast road to Makarska. A beautiful road with on the one site the deep blue sea and the other mountains that go straight up in the air. It is an amazing sight and we had to stop several times to video and take shots. The distance we had to drive was only short. Just over 50 kilometres, although the road was very small with lots of bends and heavy traffic. It was a very warm day and at lunchtime we looked for a shady place . There we took our time for we could not arrive to early at our Bed & breakfast. No trouble finding the place and around 1.30 we parked in front of Villa Jarak in Makarska. The friendly Milena rushed outside to welcome us. Again a very nice reception and finished up with a complete apartment, kitchen, fridge and two bedrooms that also included a balcony. Breakfast was not included here so of

On the way to the beach we went to the supermarket.Quite well stocked although small. We needed some bread. A lady in the bakery pointed at a bin In there were various pieces of cut of bread. She than picks a piece up to show and you decide than if that is what you want. Funny. So here we where in the morning on the balcony with our breakfast and shorts and t shirts because it is so warm here. This afternoon we walked to the old town. It is along a long promenade with cafe's and better quality hotels lining it. But more about that next time.Bye for now Liz and Allan
