Left Cavtat this morning - destination unknown. We took the main motorway through central Croatia. It is a beautiful superhighway. The average speed is about 140-150 kph with others travelling much faster. The route is not very exciting except for many tunnels one of which was 6K long thrugh a mountain. Near the upper part of Croatia we turned left away from Zagreb and headed for the coast and around Rijeka out to a small coastal town called Rovinj. Very picturesque but we did not arrive until later (after about 9 hours of driving) so we settled for dinner on a terrace overlooking the harbour. We are staying at a small Pansion - our first stab at not having a booking ahead of time. Tomorrow we hope to explore some caves just across the border in Slovenia. We will stay one night there and then head for Lake Bled

Hi! We're back in PA enjoying your blog. Like Carol, we're especially interested in your tales and pics from Croatia. Maybe we'll make it there next year. Enjoy!!
