Dubrovnik is noted as a pearl of a city!! It has a tumultuous history that has been much more settled since 1991. Much has been restored since the conflict and separation from Yugoslavia and Dubrovnik is a favorite Slavic holiday destination for its pretty city and great food. Croatia uses kunas for currency. 10 euros = 70,000 kunas. A pair of $40 shoes will be listed as 215,500 kunas. So the numbers on price tags are long and require some quick mental math calculations to see if you have found a bargain or not!
