Me
This is in Vienna Well hello,
It has been a while since our last travel blog, it is mainly to the fact we have been so busy. Well we haven't been bothered really.
Well where do I begin. When we last wrote we where leaving Croatia heading towards Austria.
Leaving Croatia took a few day more than we expected. Firstly while traveling north I decide to have a run in with the law. Yes, not a good look. I was apparently driving a little over the speed limit, so was issued a large fine. Lucky after a long discussion with the officer and a nice smile from Melissa we were able to get the fine reduced. Our little Peugeot also need its 10,000 km services so we stayed in Zadar for a few days while it was done.
We arrived into Vienna without much trouble and had a quick look around the city then drove to our friends apartment. We ended up staying with Breylgh and Mat for a week enjoying their company and the sights of Vienna.
Bryleigh suggested we all go away for a long weekend to a lake where we ended up having a great time. The water was

In the royal palace of Vienna cold but the sun was really hot, and i think some of us got colour more than others!
Thanks bryleigh and Matt for your hospitality and the good laughs.
Salzburg Is a picture post card sort of town taken over with a fascination of the sound of music. Everywhere we went Melissa was singing the songs and pointing out things that where filmed in the movie. Our days were filled exploring the areas the sound of music was filmed but unfortunately we did not get to them all. BUMMER!!!!
Both Mel and I found Austria by far the most picturest and enjoyable country and would recommend it to everyone.
Driving through the Check Repulbic was entertaining with more lady's on the road side selling their wares. The road followed a river where hundreds of kayakers and rafters played in the water during the heat of the day. Our first stop was a tiny small village called Cesky Krumlov, a fairytale castle towering over a medieval town scape with a river that intertwined this island. We ended up staying a few more days as we just loved it. We could sit and drink on a deck over

Chilling by the lake getting a tan looking a set of rapids and watch as people make fools of themselves along the river.
Well we heard such great things about Prague, so we decided to stay for a few nights in the city. We enjoyed walking around the city exploring along with what seemed like a million other tourist doing the same thing. We did however take a road train tour of the city for a different view. Night life was great drinking and people watching in the main square.
We had been to so many museums in lots of cities that we decided only to do one museum in Prague and that was the Sex museum. Very interesting not like any other museums we have seen.
Mel has talked about Berlin and how much she enjoyed it last time she was here. We drove straight into the heart of the city and jumped on a hop on hop off bus tour. We manged to see all the highlights from Check Point Charley and the Berlin Wall, to the Jewish Museum. Berlin is an amazing city with the best architectural buildings we have seen so far. Amazing artworks and sculpture's placed around the city made
exploring by foot interesting.
From Berlin we traveled to Lubeck a must!!! Well not really but it was worth the look.
Amsterdam is a place you really have to see for yourself and make your own decision. Coffee shops, window shopping for lady's, and bikes bikes bikes ever were. We stayed in the heart of the city and explored day and night embracing everything the city could offer well most of it anyway.
Ann Franks house and the Heineken museum was a few hilights plus going to a comedy show called Boom Chicago.
After Amsterdam we needed a well rested break, so we went down to Belgium to Water loo for a night, then straight for some T.L.C to my Auntie and Uncle again.
Now we are back in France with my auntie we have booked our flights from Paris to Athens and are looking forward island hopping for the next two months. We are both are great but have seen so much that it feels like we have been on holiday for a lot longer than we have.
We miss you all
Lots of love Mel & Tim
