Greetings from Bequia,

Yesterday was our first day out on the boat. We were up at 5:00am and at the harbour office at 6:00 and ready for a long day. We had fourteen guests aboard and they were all very nice and easy going. The weather was absolutely perfect. We got one 5 minute shower when we were anchoring at the Tobago Cays, but it was sunning skys for the rest of the day.

The sail down was nice and only a little bit choppy. Some of the guest dozed while the others visited with us and the crew. Once we reached the cays we took everyone to the Beach for a swim with the turtles, then they all wanted to go to the reef to snorkel, So while Colin took everyone to the reef, Malialani and I had a little break on the beach by ourselves. I dozed off while she got some sun.

After a delicious lunch the challenge was on to see who could jump from the highest rung of the ships riggings. One father and daughter kept pushing each other till they were both a good 20 feet above the water. Fortunately it was time to weigh anchor and head back or they might have kept going even higher.

On the sail back to Bequia everyone was ready for a good afternoon nap, including the Captain, so I took the wheel for a half hour while the captain took a break. Back in the harbour everyone thanked us for showing them such a good time and everyone left with a smile.

Back at the house, Malialani and I were nearly too tired to eat so it was a short everning and an early night to bed.

Today we are scheduled to show two couples that were on the boat with us yesterday a couple of the villas here on the island, so we are looking forward to that. And if we can get a call back from an owner in St Vincent, we have to go over there and photo a property that is being listed for sale.

Always staying busy, but always leaving time for a relaxing swim at a beautiful beach. That's life here on Bequia.

Yah Mon,
David and Malialani

Every man comes to a point in his life where he craves an adventure. Some climb Everest, or make a cross country journey, or sail around the world. For me my "Island Adventure" begins July 29th when I travel to the island of Bequia for 24 days. The first question out of everyone's mouth when they here about my adventure is: "Why Bequia and where is it?" Bequia (pronounced Beck-way) is located in the far southern part of the Caribbean almost to Venezuela. It's part of the island state of St Vincent and the Grenadines which is an independent part of the British Commonwealth. The islan... full info
