We met Ramona on the ferry crossing to Ometepe, Nicaragua. Ramona is a green, rambling VW like ours from Sandra's home state of Jalisco, Mexico on it's way to Argentina. Ramona's crew include a husband and wife from Mexico and Argentina, their 5 year old son and a dog.

Yes, a dog. In the car. All the way from Mexico to Argentina. Yikes.

We got to spend a little time with them while we were in Ometepe. We were supposed to visit an orphanage on the island but our clutch had other plans. It was disappointing to miss it. Here are a few photos of this very recommendable place.
