On Sunday 19th October Br Edgardo took me to see the Little Sisters of Champagnat (Hermanitas). They are a recently founded group who have decided to live in community as Religious Sisters in the spirit of Marcellin Champagnat in one of the 'poorer' slum areas. Two of them are in their 30s and the other four in their 20s. They live very simply and have already become wonderful examples to the local people of the area. Their ministry is to educate the young and offer them some skills in the workshop they have established in their house. They warmly welcome us to visit them when our Pilgrimage arrives in April 2010. Anita comes from Costa Rica, Veronica from El Salvador and Maria from Guatemala.
