Fresh fruit
Grayson loves the cantaloupe! Saturday: We met 2 Canadian couples by the pool....both have children. Grayson met a little girl, Mckayia. He promptly informed her "I have a girlfriend". (hee-hee). The pool is a big hit with Grayson! We went to a local pizza place (Gino's Pizza) Saturday night.
We've made quite a few trips to Auto mercado (local grocery store). We also visited the farmer's open air market yesterday.....fresh fruit and veggies galore. The prices were unbelievable. We got a head of cabbage and a 2 onions for .45!!!! My favorite item.....strawberries.... YUMMY (.75 for a bunch)! We also visited a local shopping center and found a family shoe store. We were trying to find sandals for Grayson....no luck, but we were able to purchase a swim suit for Kilon (he forgot to pack one!).
Have to mention this....there is a professionally trained guard dog on site. We've only seen him in the evening hours, but this dog is incredible! The dog seems to be omniscient. The other night I unlocked the door and peaked outside....before I could stick my head outside he was standing in front of our door! This happened on multiple occasions (yes, I was checking to see if he would do it every time). Keep in mind there are ~27 other houses in this community.

You are the new guys on the block! He is still deciding if you can be trusted! Rex barks at snowflakes, did you know? He barked a lot yesterday as it flurried all day! I remembered to put his ear drops in this morning, but I missed the middle of the week one. He has started to get some pent-up energy. He's torn aprart all of Trixie's toys, and he lost his Kong. I want Dan to take him for a run, but we haven't had a chance yet. Tomorrow night I am free, so I will try to take him at least for a walk. Gino and Trixie will probably have a fit over it, though! They have really been getting along phenomenally. Love, Mom
