Edit Blog Post

Hi everyone,
We have not updated the blog in a while because we were visting a place that didn't have the internet. To give you all a quick update, we had to leave Boquete early because Lucas got horrible alergies from something that was in the air there. The minute he walked outside he would start sneezing like crazy and his nose wouldn't stop running. So we decided that we needed to leave and headed back into Costa Rica. We spent the night in a really cute town just outside of the boarder called San Vito. The next day we headed to a town called Neily and spent one night there because we were supposed to take a bus early the next morning to the coast. On the way to Neily we saw our lives flash before our eyes on this crazy bus ride down a mountain. The two-way road we were on was only wide enough for one small car (not a giant bus), there were sheer cliffs and blind corners. Not to mention that the whole valley we were driving into was covered in clouds. Lindsay actually closed her eyes because she couldn't bare to watch the crazy bus

ride. Well, we are happy to report that we survived the ride. After we spent the night in Neily we woke up early the next morning to catch the bus to Zancudo a tiny little beach town. It was a three 1/2 hour bus ride on an unpaved rocky road (it was a very bumpy ride). The town of Zancudo is very spread out, in fact I don't think you can even call it a town, it's more like a road of sand with random cabinas every 200 meters. We ended up staying at a extremly cheap place attached to the local bar. It was really fun because we got to meet a lot of locals at the bar and the beach was about 100 feet from our cabina. We met a lot of interesting people at the bar and Lindsay befriended a gay Italian man who thought she was an angel. He told Lindsay that there was a reason they met and that he would never forget her, he told Lucas that he was a manly pig. It was pretty funny! Before we left, he gave Lindsay a small box, inside the box was a glass serpent and a

glass pig. Can you guess which one is for who? He told us that it would bring us good luck on the rest of our trip. Zancudo was a really beautiful beach and we made bon fires everynight in the sand. We stayed in Zancudo for 5 nights and then left yesterday for Uvita. We are now in Uvita and it has a little more of a town than Zancudo, but not by much. It has been extremely hot here and we are sweating 24 hours a day. We know that you are all freezing and we are sorry. You are probably all getting ready for Christmas right now with last minute decorations and presents. We don't feel like Christmas is in a week, in fact we don't even feel like it is December. For our Christmas presents to eachother this year we are going to buy a load of laundry in the washing machine. That is all we want for Christmas, clean clothes!!!!!! On Thursday we are planning to go to Quepos to see the National Park Manuel Antonio. It should be filled with monkeys and beautiful beaches. We are going to keep a close eye on our clothes

Boquete is well known for their coffee. This is one of many coffee plantations in the area. We saw alot of coffee fields and factories hiking through the hills.
this time. Sorry if any of you thought we were dead (Jackie) we did not mean to scare you. We hope everyone is having a great time at home and enjoying the holidays! Talk to you soon. Hasta Luego.

ya loobloo vwi=i love you
You guys are in heaven. I'm just a little jealous. I also agree that Lindsay you are an angel, but I do not agree that Lucas you are a pig. When I was in Costa Rica I stayed in Quepos. I loved it. There are mountains, the amazing Manuel Antonio rainforest and yes monkeys and three toed sloths. Have fun, think of me...I'm still seriously considering quitting the PC and coming to Costa Rica. Can I use Dempsey? Love you and miss you both :)

Hello, Lindsay B...
Lindsay, Gloria gave me the address to your blog tonight. What a treat it has been to read about your travels! I have missed your smiling face and wonderful wit. You have always been such a special person in Lori's life - and in mine also. I will never forget all the days, picking you up at your house and taking the two of you to school. I will pray for your safety and happiness, Lindsay. Have a wonderful time and know that I have thought of you often. You will always have two families. All the best to you and Lucas. Safe travels and God bless. Jim

Merry Christmas
THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS by Clement Clarke Moore 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there; The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads; And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled down for a long winter's nap, When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below, When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer, With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name; "Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the house-top the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my hand, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack. His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose; He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night." Merry Christmas!
