I was in the butterfly shed minding my own business, when this beautiful bird flew in through the door and tried to get through the mesh windows. Obviously surprised, I snatched my camera and took at least 10 shots as well as a short movie. It definitely made my day!

Awesome camoflague (spelling?); it's common to find these guys hanging onto the side of a tree like this.

They are a little different from the morpho caterpillars. I like the hard "spikes" on the head.

The caligo caterpillars hide/sleep in dried leaves to make it harder for anyone (or anything) to find them.
