Loving it Donna, your travel blog's brilliant. So good to have news of all your adventures. Hope that hideous toe injury isn't too painful now, it sounded really grim. Poor you. How exciting to think tomorrow's the Day. Hoping to be at hut suitable marking the occasion: we'll be thinking of you all anyway. have a fabulous day. Love, Kate
Fun! Thanks for this one Donna ........... have to agree Nat looks a if he has returned to childhood but I reckon form one pic he should pick on someone his own size!!
Hope the foot is healing despite the soaking! XXX
Hi, yes I'm afraid it really is very very hot and sweaty. It was 36 degrees when we landed, which in itself wasn't that bad (i've had hotter weather in Greece), its just the sweatiness when you're trying to explore really. However having said that I had a fantastic time and I wouldn't let it put me off visiting at that time of year. I would definitely get an aircon room as there is no breeze to cool you down. Taxi's have air con, so its easy enough to get about. I would visit temples etc in the mornings and make sure around lunch you find a nice bar for a fruit shake and you'll be fine. Just avoid too much walking at the middle of the day. Go for it, you'll have a fab time no matter what the weather, its a cool city! :-)
Is it really so hot ? I love your blog entry and plan to visit Bangkok real soon. Is it really as hot during April / May as everyone says ?
I feel quite unprepared because everyone has different opinions about the weather. I don't mind hot because I'm from South Africa
but humid is another story. Please let me know, from your personal experience, how the weather is right now and any tips you
might have for me.
Thanks
Lucinda
What a day! Bad luck comes in 3's they say so you got all yours over in one day! positive thinking here?!! Having had injections in both big toes toes and a broken big toe I promise you giving birth is much more fun!! On a serious note just do make sure you keep the cut clean and dressed!
When I was reading your blog I got really worried that the wedding plans were falling apart so the ripped toe saga was almost a relief and I'm very glad you met your organiser and hope all now goes smoothly! time now to relax and enjoy the days of holiday leading up to this time next week!! Woooooo........ you and Nat will be married and I'll be your ma in law! Hope all now goes well and you both have a great time at the water festival. A plastic bag on your foot maybe?! Bet you are glad you didn't buy those fancy sandals to wear!! Love to you both. Jo xxxx
Brilliant Donna!! SO SO nice to follow your travels and your enthusiasm and happiness pours off the page! have a great time at the water throwing and enjoy the rest and fun!
Looking forward to the next update.
Seb and Amy left this morning to join you so I'm feeling adrift with no boys to text etc!!
Love to you all. Jo xxxxxx that's one x for each of you boys and girls!

sea canou Wow, you must have had the same guide on the sea canou. Our also let us paddle and stand on the trees, it was his suggestion and none of the others were doing it. We tipped him. He showed us faces in the sides of the rocks and stuff, he was really quiet fun. Wonder if it was the same guy. Did you also take the beach tour and go and see "the beach" ? Hope you had fun.
still going strong Hi,
you certainly seem to be enjoying yourself, I have been following you on your journey and recognised a lot of the places from last time, and some new ones as well, I have been told that vietnam is the new thailand and is really lovely so hope you manage to get there as well, it was certainly a long jouney to get to those lovely beaches but by the photos was well worth it. i hope you are going to be o.k on the rest of your journey, you seem to have made lots of friends. Take care and speak soon - havce a good christmas
