Dont be mean to the wombats - From: What sort of cheapskate uses blog for xmas card?...TWICE!!
Hey Bill I can't visit you if I don't know where you are! It sounds great, and you're obviously back in Oz... I've in France for 6 months this year. Still here but back new year. And an Aussie caravan safari would be ideal. Have a wonderful Summer xxClare

I reckon you should throw the plans for building away and stick with work underconstruct. Maybe a second floor over the caravan and then later, slip the caravan out (when it falls apart of course) and build another room off the balcony. great to talk with you the other day. julie

Happy Christmas Intrepid One - From: What sort of cheapskate uses blog for xmas card?...TWICE!!
Bill, Your back yard appears as wild as mine. Love the view! I love the deck. Looks to about the same size as our spinnaker aboard Somerset Cat. Keep some running rigging and ground screws handy for the big blow. I spent the summer sail working in the San Juans after Emily's wedding in June. You would have loved the SJ Gastronomic Tour! We finally have snow in Sun Valley. Skiing is on. My aged, broken body is barely holding on. I dream of Mexico and Malolo. Check out our scene: http://www.sunvalley.com or Connie's paper: http://www.sunvalleyidcentral.com/index.php. Get a picture of the wombat (& carry a big stick). Best Wishes from your crew mate to you and yours, Chas.

Hey Papa, I like the way you've converted half the caravan into a bed. That sounds like my kind of place. Also the giant flat screen TV is hilarious. Nice picture of the tawny frogmouth. Merry Christmas. Love always, Kate xoxox

To Good Times..... - From: What sort of cheapskate uses blog for xmas card?...TWICE!!
Bill, Glad to hear from you... Your new excitement seems to be from the local indigenous animal species..... Where are the local woman????? The weather here in Las Vegas has gone from 104 F to 32 F and colder. I've been snow skiing in the local mountians the last month... small area but the show girls come up in the middle of the week....Nice bar.. I haven't been to the local brothel in about 3 weeks but I will make it up before Xmas. I got my first DUI (drunk driving) arrest and spent the night in jail..... had a good time and met some interesting people! I was arrested by a federal forest ranger, so I have to go to federal court... Anyway "All is well with me" I hope you have a great Christmas, wish we could do it togeather.. Love Ray

cuban people - From: WELCOME TO THE HOTEL INGLATERA..
I went to Habana last year. I was impressed by the personal hygiene in the poor areas of the city, I felt no smell of unwashed skin. Nobody believed me when I told that on my return to my country. I wonder how those people manage to smile, enjoy life and remain human despite their tough existence. I almost forgot how it is to be human until I lived in their houses and know them indoors and enjoy their natural politeness, not the cold, dry politeness of the "civilized" modern world.

how long Bairnsdale? - From: COLD? IT WAS BLOODY NEAR FRIESAN!!
Heather here Bill, on behalf of Phil... hey that rhymes. Our David's at Wagga bootcamp should graduate into the RAAF to begin life as an Avionics Tech around 4th November. That date clashes with VCE for Ben Mutch so I shall stay and get him to exams and fret a bit, but Phil is keen to see David's ?passing out parade - Forrest Hill Base wouldn't be all that far from KoB would it? Send a text to Phil anyway with your thoughts... 0438235401. Graduation day isn't set in stone, if they haven't ironed their undies etc. it's all off for another week I gather.

Hi Billy, soory, King Billy - From: COLD? IT WAS BLOODY NEAR FRIESAN!!
Hey Bill great to read of your life up there sounds like your really into it. Today is the 9th and there are two things happening for us: My first point is: we had River today as we do every Monday & Wednesday and my second point is: Annika arrives home tonight at 8.15 after five years in oslo and she stayin. Really looking forward to it. I'm thoroughly enjoying not working much. in fact most of the time these days involves music with a wonderful bunch of people here in the Patch. studio next door, music room and recording gear (courtesy of Kevin) downstairs and some sort of music every day. I was saying just yesterday that it is amazing how you can meet people who become close friends so late in the life cycle. If you send me your email I'll sent you some music files for a listen, you probably need a bit of something musical up on those thar hills mate. Love Michael & Julie and go the dees oops doggies or saints. Fuck the crows

SOOO good to hear from you Bill. Life on the frontier sounds like its tough but enjoyable. I didn't read anything about the Tathra golf course- does this mean that you haven'risen to the challenge? Nor did I see the invitation for a Shum Sponsored Golf Trip to Bega. I understand that the cheese is good in Bega- that's because I watch the ads on the tele. When are you coming down? When is Robert going up to assist with the house? When is Cheryl going up to tile the dunny? LOVE Alan
