Job Well with only $500 in your pocket i suggest you take whatever job you can get, and get it a.s.a.p. Maybe you could work something out with the saloon if you tell them your money problem maybe they can pay you for 3 or 4 days when you get there so you have a little money to work with. I dont really know but i hope you dont run out of money!! You dont want to become an austrailian BUM.

...Way too cold to come home! Tyler! I will fly back to Halifax if I have to, to personally kick your ass if you come home to Canada before spring at least!! It is so damn cold...well colder for me then it would be for you in Hali....but still too cold nonetheless too be leaving OZ yet! I love all your pics, and just like Devan said, Cowboy costume was bomb!! I hope you're making tons of memories that you won't forget and I can't wait to read your next blog! Keep it real...miss you!
Love, Ashley B xoxox
Looks like a nice place. Stay out of the surf, your not that great a swimmer. Sounds like you have thoughts of returning home sooner that you planned? Give Sydney a chance, it will grow on you. I'm sure there is still lots to do and see around there. What are you looking to find for a job? No chance of getting your old job back? Take it easy keep the notes and pics coming. Say hi to Katye.
Good news blog (I guess!!) Although we miss you lots and it will be very different at Christmas, gald to hear that you are going to give it the old college try by sticking around for a few more months. I think you will be happy with that in the end. Get as much travelling in as you can. Too bad the fire pictures came out a bit blurry -- I bet it was awesome to see. Don't think I would have liked the lightning storm while travelling!! Touch base with Keith again, eh? Take the opportunites that he offers to see Australia. Lots of love, MOm xoxo
Oops! I pressed the wrong button! Hey! Me again. About the pics of you -- loved them. You have definitely lost weight. In these pics you look a lot like Uncle Bob ( a younger one, of course). Th party looked like a lot of fun! Have fun, but stay safe. xoxo, Mom
Nice Hey, it's been a while since i left a message for you (school has been busy) I just wanted to say that your cowboy costume is awesome hahaha!! And you know, it is nice to see pictures with you in them because it is YOUR blog and YOUR wild adventure in OZ! Keep it going down there and dont rush coming home too fast, you never know, you may never have another trip down south again. Just enjoy yourself and you'll know when it's the right time to come home.
Have fun,
Devan
P.S. when you do come home, your going to miss OZ so do everything you can possibly afford!!!!!!! And it's starting to get really cold here so you have no reason to complain haha!!
Hey guys Kat and Tyler,
I been checkin out both your blogs, and looks like you's are having a hell of a time. Hang in there, don't get too frusterated...I've been there too, I remember not being able to find a job, and living off of canned tuna and beans for like 3 weeks straight. If you want any advice from an "outsider", feel free to shoot me an email. We had bad luck finding jobs in Surfer's Paradise...if I were you, I would take off back to Sydney, or even check out Melbourne. Work case senario, work two weeks fruit picking/telemarketing, make a grand, and take time settling down.
Take it easy though, doesn't matter where or what you both do, it's a life experience.

hello! Hey Ty! Guess your back in Sydney. It was great talking to you the other night. I always feel better when I hear your voice. The pics are great!! More, though with you in them!!! Looks like the Canadians really showed them how to enjoy Halloween. Do all you can do in Austarlia before you make any decisions to come home. Live life, but stay safe. Lots of Love, Mom xoxo
Halloween Seems like you had a good time for Halloween, and look like there were some interesting costumes. I hope you're having a blast and all goes well with the moving around and finding a job. Kepp up with the blog and adding more pictures. --xoxo, Ash
Don't Rush!! Hi Ty! A shocker on the blog today -- what's this talk of coming home?? Think carefully about your plans. You'll probably not get a chance to do this again for a long time, if ever. Are you really disappointed with everything or just a bit homesick? Rest assured that your trip has not been a wasted time -- you have enjoyed many experiences over the past month and seen a lot! Plus, you have learned more about yourself as well, I'm sure. Be sure of your decision!! I'll call you tonight! xo, Mom

Perspective Hi Tyler
I'm really enjoying your pictures. It's interesting to see where Katye is from another perspective. Good luck with your interview and take care.

It all started as a dream at about 6 years old. I wanted to go to AUSTRALIA...I'm not really too sure why I wanted to go, maybe Mr. Dundee opened my eyes, or maybe Australia is just so different from Canada and yet in some ways can be very alike. I have been waiting for this for over 15 years, and now it's all happening. Wish me luck on my adventures, and be sure to keep in touch.... full info
