Well since I last wrote here a lot of things have been happening....so i'll just write it all in order and hope you don't get lost along the way.....
Katye and I left Sydney at about 10:30pm Wed. night, we travel for about 8 hours on a bus when we stoped in Ballina, where I got the chance to see the Big Prawn. We just stoped for 45 mins for breakfast then back on the road for another 2 hours before arriving in Byron bay. We checked into our hostel (Aquarius) and then hit the beach. It was soooo hot here compared to Sydney. We found a spot on the beach and started to soak up the sun. It wasn't long until I fell alseep, but thankfully I didn't for too long or my minor burn would have been much worse. We were in a 8 bedroom with 2 girls from Norway and 3 guys from UK. The night for them started early and didn't end until late (no sleep)....I was very tired the next day.

Today we got up early to get our bus. On the way to the bus I randomly ran into Jean'a (jenns
Big Banana
Coffs Harbour Banana friend from kananaskis) I was only able to talk to her for a few mins tho. But i would try and meet up with her later.
We arrived in Brisbane and got the shuttle to our new hostel (Bunk) Where we shared a 8 bed dorm with 5 other people, this was the first hostel that I had to sleep on the top (I couldn't build a fort). Once we got settled we took a walk around the city to see what was around. It was so hot out that it was almost unbearable. That night we went for a beer and talked about finding a place to stay, we started talking about going to Surfers Paradise instead of staying in Brisbane, because its right on the beach and wouldn't be as big a city as Brisbane. We also looked at apartments there as well and it was a bit cheaper. So it was then decided that we would go back South to see what we can get into in Surfers Paradise. Aside from the random cockroach and the kinda small room, Bunk was an OK place to spend a night.

We checked out of Bunk and
headed to the train station to get a train to Surfers, for a one way ticket it was only $10.00 each...little had we realized the hell that was about to happen. apparently there was a problem with the tracks about 1/2 there and we had to get off the train and onto a bus (we got on different ones :-o) then the bus took us to another train station where we continued on...once at our next stop we then had to get on a public transit bus, which was full of people, with all our gear and take that about 20 mins to the the city. Thankfully we got droped off right outside out new hostel (Islanders Resort). Once checked in we decided to go look a round the beach and at some of the apartments we looked into. The city had a very different feel to it. Almost like very small version of Sydney but influenced by the beach and vacation spots. After looking at a few places and realizing that they were all vacation rentals and not really what we were looking for we headed back to the hostel, where things just kept getting worse. First off the
beds we got were in different rooms, I was in some hole in the basement which was very dark and dirty, thankfully the only real clean part was my bed.

Unfortunately when I did get to sleep the fire alarm went off twice then followed by some asshole who decided to pack his bag at 4:30am WITH THE BLOODY LIGHT ON which was right above my head. Needless to say it wasn't getting any better so I got up and dressed and left the room until it was time to get the coach bus back to Brisbane (only 3.50 more then the headache the day before).
We checked into a 4 bedroom dorm at a place called Tin Billy (we decided to get rid of the 8+ bedrooms for a bit) and so far it is quite nice. I have already got a interview for a company called Red Oxygen which workes with huge international companies (BMW, IBM, Audi...) on a system that enables Text Messages to be sent through office machines....I'll pretty much be going to companies and showing them how this product works and offering them a free trial. It seems like a sales
job, but if I get it, it's a start until I find something better.
This has been pretty much whats going on thus far, have a look at the pictures (up soon) and leave me some comments. I wanna hear more from everyone.
Cheers.
