Pantanal - A piece of Brazil The Pantanal is the largest freswater wetland in the world, covering an area od 140,000 sq km(54,000 sq miles in Brazil alone. The north entrance is from the city of Cuiaba, along the road to penetrate this part of the Pantanal, the Transpantaneira. The wildlife viewing along of this road at any season is nothing less than spectacular, although the dry season(May to October)is the best because the lakes and wet areas become restricted and concentrate birds, mammals and reptiles in large numbers.
Where do tourists go in the pantanal and how do they get there?

Good thing you have street smarts! I think it helps! Thanks for adding some pics of you to the blog so I know it's not some imposter posing as my daughter all this time. 25 hours on a bus - I couldn't do it.
SAFE FUN OK let's not scare dear old Mum with too many risky comments ppl. No more of the P word! Ha, ha. I can't wait to get an update this weekend hopefully from the jungle. Meg - be safe, but have fun. Let's see some photos!
Just for the record, I have to type at lightening speed. There is a lot of information to get down there, but it´s ok. I can handle constructive criticism :) As long as the essence of the blog is understood. :)
Whooo ! Make the most of it; travel is to me my three kids and their mom, the best teacher any of us could have ever had. Learning another language and/or immersing oneself in another's culture is probably the greatest expression of confidence and courage! Way to go Meggs!
Step - grumps graeme.
