UntitledSo here I am, 4 days before I leave on my first big international trip of my life. It's an exhilerating feeling to be going on an adventure like this.

Here is the outline of my trip:

May 17th: Arrive in Quito, Ecuador (given time 9:45 pm).

Then onto the Secret Garden Hostel where I will be spending three nights before I head out to volunteer.

May 18th-20th I will be in Quito, touring New Town and Old Town. My hostel is in Old Town and is said to have some of the most beautiful colonial architecture. However, it can be rather scary at night. On the bright side, my hostel is in a relatively guarded area and is rated number 1 four years in a row. Pretty awesome. If for some reason the situation arises I can work at the hostel. Hopefully this does not happen.

So for 2 1/2 days I will be exploring Quito on my own, while Jen heads off to her volunteer trip.

May 20th: Take a bus for 5 hours out of Quito to a town called Puyo where I will be spending the night there. In the morning, relatively early I would presume, I will then take a bus to the Santa Martha Animal Refuge Amazonia. It takes an hour and a half to get there, and you have to make sure you stay awake the entire time or you may miss your stop.

So I arrive in the early afternoon to the animal refuge and get acquainted with everything and everyone.

I get weekends off to head into town and use computers and phones, it's going to be so rugged and primitive. But I am already in love with the idea of it. I am not looking forward to the spiders and the anacondas. Although I do want to get video footage of an anaconda slithering around. I will take loads of photos.

So I spend 2 weeks in the jungle toughing it out, very exciting.

June 2nd: I then leave the refuge and head back to Quito and meet up with Jen. There we will spend a couple of days hanging out together. I am hoping to do a day hike to the volcanoes, that should be amazing. The view is suppose to be breath-taking.

Then around June 4th we are heading to the Galapogous Islands, to the Island San Isabella and then onto the city of Puerta Ayora. We spend about 4 days there wimming with the penguins, iguanas, seals, and loads of other infamous marine animals.

Around June 8th or 9th: We are planning to head to Guayquil a port city in the south of Ecuador. Hang out at the Iguana Park and climb 400 stone steps.

After that June 12th: We are off to Peru to Cusco, to spend a few nights in Cusco and then take a train to Manchu Pichu. Woot woot!

Then off to Argentina June 15th.

Stay tuned.
