Maze town and blazing sun! Sounds like you are having a nice trip with some "surprises"! Lol. Enjoy it to the max specially the sun and warmth. Once you get back home you'll be about 2 feet deep in fluffy, white and cold snow. Have a safe trip home. :)
Awesome! What an experience of a life time! I can't imagine trying to fall asleep with a lion roaring in the background(whistle or no whistle!!) Can't wait for the pictures.
Merry Christmas! Just wanted to wish the two of you a very Merry Christmas! Hope you are enjoying it with your "family" of elephants, tigers, and giraffes! Everyone here says Hi and the dogs send their love! Have fun and take care.
Very happy for you! Very impressed with Anne reaching the summit and with Tyson's attempt as it is obvious that altitude does not agree with him. Quite the adventure you are on. It should get easier from now on with the safari. Enjoy! Glad you are both well. Joyeux Noël! Xoxo

Wow! Hey Anne et Tyson,
Looks like you are already having an exciting time. Keep the blogs coming! J'pense à vous et si ça va bien pour vous, on y ira un jour.

Too bad for all the unfortunate happenings, but at least you can look forward to hot water at the next place! Kigali looks really pretty - different than I expected! Hope everything is lacking in rush hour traffic and goes smoothly from here on out. Look forward to your next posts!
Yay! Wow such awesome pics- amazing that you got so close!!! Sounds like the trek of a lifetime- so glad you soaked up every last minute! Have fun in Kenya & Tanz! GL with Kili...sounds like it will be a breeze for you!
So Exciting When I saw your mom Sunday at uncle Garry's I had asked to get your blog info....I so look forward to reading the updates and the pictures. What an experience...good for you. Stay safe and enjoy every moment!

Doh! Too bad you didn't make it to the top but you got to schmooze with the locals!! Rest up and drink/eat lots to get ready for Kili! Don't forget to take your Diamox! "You can do it"!! Love you!
Woo Hoo! Gorillas! Can't wait to see all the pictures(and of course the video!!;)). Looks like you had a blast! Dogs are doing fine - at the baseball park every day!
Awesome! That's so cool that you guys were that close to the gorillas! And got to see them in "action"...looks like you guys are having a great time. Hope you're taking lots of pictures! And Ty - good work on (mostly?) climbing Bisoke...Kilimanjaro will be simple now that you made it half way up a smaller one! :) Take care guys and be safe!!
PS- The dogs say hi!
Not a wuss Don't feel bad, Tyson. I've been to places high above sea level -- highest I think was Puno (Peru) at around 3,860 m. It takes a few days to get acclimatized, and people react differently too. My friend didn't make it up the Andes cause she passed out along the way! Maybe you knew when to quit. Better that than falling ill of exhaustion (especially considering where you are right now). I often find that chatting with the locals is one of the best parts of my trip... something I remember for a long time. You may end up considering yourself lucky. :)
