Weekend Campaway at Sequoia National Park

We decided to do a lot of smaller weekend trips this summer since we're not entirely sure when we'll be moving to our new home. This weekend we're headed to Sequoia National Park for the first time. I have no idea why I've never decided to go there but I guess I finally realized I must be missing out. There's a lot of California we just haven't traveled to because we usually go to Yosemite. So, we're venturing out to other parts of the Sierras.

I reserved a site at Buckeye Flats since it seems to be central within the park to a lot of sights we plan to stop at. It also has a swimming hole I'm dead set on visiting. We want to do the Big Trees walk, see General Sherman and climb up Moro Rock to name a few.

We're even bringing a hammock (that we weren't allowed to use at Big Basin).
