Good one, guys! Boy, you guys don't fool around when you take a gap year! Good on you - spend those kids' inheritance! These are terrific pics - once again. I've been wondering if you took your private secretary to write up all these stories; it must take hours. Once again, thanks for sharing your fun year!
Memories Once again your blog brings back memories of our lap of Ireland five years ago. I didn't read anything about a visit to the Bushmills distillery - don't say you missed a free drink???
See you on Tuesday in "sunny and warm" Wales.
Photos I was about to ask Sharon whether Chris was actually travelling with her as we had not seen a photo of him as yet. This post has releived my mind - he is there with you.
Ric
The weather has varied from brilliant to cold wet and windy - this afternoon we almost couldn't walk up to the lookout at the Cliffs of Moher it was so windy!
The Guiness grew on me, and was better than I expected, but I couldn't get through a whole pint- luckily someone was there to help out!
Ireland is very friendly and very scenic - a bit Altsonville-ish in a lot of the places we have seen so far. You will love it. Go with the Murphy's rather than the Guinness where you can - I think it's a bit nicer.
We think the Blarney stone is best left for yoga enthusiasts.
Hope the jazz goes well, as usual Grant will do well, despite what he says! I'm thinking the dodgy bass player is a lovely guy, so I'm sure it'll work out.
We're now in Galway, just back from a seafood delicious seafood meal and a couple of pints (white wine then Baileys coffee for Shazza). A great feirndly place, have heard a bit of traditional music, maybe more in the next few days.
Don't forget us for Merimbula 2012!
To the people of the West Great to read that all is going well in the Emerald Isle. Did you like the Guiness Sharon?
Hope the weather stays good or at least reasonable for the rest of your time there and we will see you soon.

The Emerald Isle Enjoying travelling with you two. We have 2 weeks in Ireland starting 13th August, so love reading about it and checking out your pics.We won't be kissing the stone either.....could you imagine Ric trying that trick?? hhmmm. The Guinness tour will be one we do, purely for medicinal purposes.....to be sure to be sure!! Cheers! Kerrie and Ric.
Nice legs Sharon's I mean! Interesting skulls too! Gearing up for another jazz festival without you two.. it's not going to be the same; the Lakeview has lost it's live music license (apparently it never had one) but thankfully there's been an exception made for the jazz festival!! I spose we'll survive. Grant's having to tutor the bass player who's name shall remain unwritten but they'll do ok. Hope u 2 do 2. Don't forget.. we're watching! XX
Hey! Look at that! Same tiles as Museum Station in Sydney! I bet y'all got confused! Although, maybe you didn't, because Museum hasn't been that clean since the day it opened.
Latest blog Budapest airport and the view from the plane doesn't quite compare with what you have seen and done. Great to read the latest. Spoke to mum a while ago and all is well in Armidale.
Stay well. Luv from J & C
Reply from Paris (which we don't hate anymore) Great to read the latest news - what experiences! Couldn't help but compare some of the experiences especially the concentration camps details after we had so recently visited Israel and the holocaust museum. We gathered that the persecutions started well before WW 11 but and it does make you question human beings???
Keep it coming.
Yes,we'relooking forward to a catch up too. I just read about your trip to the Holocaust museum in Tel Aviv, and we've just been to Auschwitz, so lots to talk about, possibly some of it not depressing!
Hey Jack
A slow reply as we've been off the air for a while - thanks for keeping up with our travels. I'm thinking you might have caught up with A Tillers and P Cox by now.
We're now in Olomouc, having started expedition no. 2.
Cheers

Jealous Sounds like you are enjoying your northern late spring.
