Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Dear friend! - From: AMAZING CHRISTMAS!
Hello Stina- it is great to see how you are doing and to hear all the the Lord is allowing you to be a part of. I am sure you are such a blessing to the people there, your kind, patient and giving heart. We miss you, think of you and pray for you often. It has been an eventful fall for us as a family, my dad died from cancer on Oct 31 and it has been difficult for all of us....Although we are so excited for for Him to be with the Lord but we miss him greatly. It has been difficult. Hume is good, but we sure miss you too. email us if you have the chance, but for now know that we love you, we believe in you and the beautiful gift that you are from the Lord to us and to others. Happy New year - Love Jen, Jon, Genevieve, Jacob and Gerrit Nelson

more christmas - From: AMAZING CHRISTMAS!
Hi Stina, Kris is comming tomorrow with some stuff from us. there are some gifts for the kids. I hope we sent enough for everyone. there are little play-dohs and stuff like that We tried to send a variety of things for the different ages and genders. We gift wrapped everything, and after I mailed it I realized that Kris may have had to unwrap it all to get it on the plane. (saftey rules) We had Christmas afternoon with Cal, Nancy and Trevor. He's up and about (slowly) and looking well. Trevor has been accepted into the music program at SSU(where Madeline goes),but he's waiting to see what the other schools he applied for respond before he makes a final decision. This was the tirst time in YEARS that we've spent with them. They usually the holiday in MN. I have to go to work this mOning. We are going to see Ama this afternoon. Bye, Love you, Mommy OOXXOO

Can feel the joy - From: the post entitled "my heart is getting bigger" and presently a baby is humming himself to sleep.
Stina, I forgot I could check in on your blog until I saw your message on Ezra's Offspring. I've been wondering how you're doing and loved reading all you had to say. I can feel your joy of being in the right place coming through the lines. And good to hear how you are using the tough times. I just wrote the Dec. check for you so I hope you're getting them from Kim E. A couple ice breaker ideas that I've used with our Guatemala team- two truths/one lie (you write three things on a piece of paper and the others have to guess which one is not true about you, such as I've climbed a mountain, I love pizza, I sky-dived from a plane. Do you know the story about The Write Family? It's all about passing something to the right or left whenever you hear those 2 words mentioned. You can write each person's name on a popscicle stick and they pass that. Then whoever's name you end up with, you pray for them for the next week. Talk to you later. With love, Auntie Kristi

Missing you - From: fun and tough
Hi Stina, just wanted to drop a quick note to you. Little Joe & Riley miss you, as do Caryn and myself, it sounds like your settling in just fine. Be careful running around on roads like that in a strange place (well, maybe it's not strange to you) Don't worry about what other people think of you, just be yourself and everything will fall into place, once people give themselves a chance to know you better, they will all love you! Take care. Joe, Caryn, Joseph & Riley.
