Goodbye and thank you hawaii! Well we are packed with the limo picking us up at 6-30am tomorrow morning... We are at 8 bags but all are under 32 kilos!!! yeeeaaaahhhhhhh did it!! yyiippeeeee back home in oz saturday afternoon as we lose a day travelling home and back in port sunday afternoon wooohoooo!! then 90 loads of washing and unpacking for 6 months and we will have forgotten all about it!! only sent 5 parcels home from bahamas and hawaii as well and back to work on thursday hopefully if my jetlag has disappeared!! well see ya all later... read more

Well we have the tshirts to prove it... however I will never do it again!! It was exhilarating but terrifying.. sharks were mainly galapagos sharks which ranged from 5ft to over 15ft and they were inches... make that millimetres away from you. I did not enjoy it at all and should have stayed on the boat with the other 2 women but couldnt let the side down!! so I sucked it in and did it.... never again.. freakin scary.. the cage looks like it is made out of like matchsticks with nylon ropes holding the cage to the boat which the sharks could have bitten through in half a second.. the dudes on the boat had to keep shaking the ropes to stop the sharks biting them.. occassionally they threw out fish to the sharks just ... read more

Well we escaped from Vegas and really are over the glitz and glamour, sleaze and american accents!!! so nice to be back in Hawaii where the native tongue is very islander and not so american :-) no offense to any americans intended!!! we all love hawaii and we are staying on the 21st floor at the Sheraton Princess Kaulani which is across the road from waikiki beach ... and... sorry Dev!! the Hawaiian market village is just downstairs wooohoooo!! we are now up to 8 bags at 50 pounds each.. well the boys had a blast in Everson and we never saw them as they hooked up with the local kids and disappeared! Said goodbye to mum and dad and went down to seattle. went over the car ferry to some island which was cool which was where our motel was. it was nice and had a great view over puget sound. pungent sound of a morning cause it stinks!! water is black which is weird and it was freakin cold!! thank god for vegas!! crappy sleazy place but hot! mgm is nice and room is pretty good.. service is mmmmm we are reserving judgment for a few days cause didnt have a good start with the bell boy who practically treated us like bum yokels and tried to spell out he wanted a tip although ... read more

Well have had 2 reasonably warm days for here - mid to high 20's but the rest has been cold and wet and drissly - like today! - so have been sitting on back desk studying and trying to get photos of the hummingbirds which flit around all over the place. seems when you pull a camera out they know and disappear but Dev persevered and got a few great shots!... read more
