Hey Annie,
I just now finished reading up on your adventure and wishing that I could have been there with you all. It sounds like you had a very successful trip and I can't wait to go on the next one with you. Thanks again for keeping us updated on your trip and for all that you do.
Hugs,
Mandi
Photos, calendars and cards Hi Ann,
Glad you guys like the photos I just added a bunch more. One project on the trip was to get enough really excellent photos to make a calendar that we will sell as a fundraiser for Sionfonds. I was thinking of doing one of Moms and their children but there has been allot of interested in one of just kids too. I am hoping they will make good christmas cards.
I also brought back 3000 christmas cards made from banana leaves I am going to be selling for Sionfonds too.
Those projects, and all my family's laundry from while I was gone should be done next week sometime.....okay maybe not the laundry........
I will keep you posted, about the calendar and christmas cards
(not the laundry, you have got your own to worry about LOL)
So good to hear from you, would love to see Lexi's hair in beads. Samantha's was all beaded at the first of the school year, but swinging her head to hear/feel the beads was a bit distracting on the soccer field :)
love annie
Amber and Karen
Thanks Karen and Amber,
I do really want you to come on a trip. You both would love it !
Really want you to know that your help in planning the medical trip is a big part of what made it turn out so well. We can't thank you enough.
love annie
Wow!! Awesome, Annie! Reading your post made me feel as if I were right there with you guys....I could almost taste, smell, and feel Haiti....
I can't wait to hear more about the late night drive through remote Haiti, I bet that was completely amazing to see....
Makes me miss it there so much.....
Amber :)
Yeah!! Annie,
I am so excited to hear of the sucess that you had on the trip!!! The pictures are amazing and I can't wait to hear all about each and every day.....I checked the blog every single day while you were gone and I have been holding my breath to hear all the details :) I am so glad that the trip was a success and I hope to be a part of your "crew" one day in the future!
All my best,
Amber
I Bet The Adrenalin Was Flowing I'm so glad yo got everyone there and all the medicine through customs. Yikes! That stress would put me through the floor. However, I wish I were there to see all our kids.
hahahaha....controlled chaos....you said it!
I burst out laughing reading your adventures getting out of the airport.
BIG was always entertainment for me .....
Karen
Thank you so much for this post, Annie. I could visualize it all, no doubt helped by having arrived at that airport myself once five years ago. I look forward to reading more on the trip, Annie, and especially for photos. Lexi and I studied the 3 photos you posted last time, and Lexi was delighted to see the beads in the girl's hair, just as I place them in her braids at times these days! Just 2 weeks ago someone at school had mocked her beads, and she'd firmly declared that "there are thousands of girls in Haiti wearing beads like this. That's how we do it when we are from Haiti!" ;>)
BTW, she is doing great and has many friends in her school here!
much much love and appreciation,
Ann
No slide show I think it is me that is the computer dunce :)
I spent half a day trying to get it on the sight, but it never worked. And I don't have the time to figure it out. So I will stick with pictures.
Sorry about that.
annie
