It’s so weird today I woke up and realized that I have been here for a full week. This time last week I found myself sitting in between a German-Indian man and an obese Italian on my way to Frankfurt. And now? Now I have a true blue German beer gut. Ask me if I care. I am studying in a medium-sized city called Freiburg (yes, the residents are considered Freiburgers) in the very southwest tip of Germany. The city is fast-paced, not too touristy, and the southern Germans seem to find American students amusing. It’s also been about 85 degrees everyday.
